So if you do not know of the mighty Heroic Melon Collective, allow me to educate you. They're a Toronto-based group of Asian-Canadian filmmakers who are basically made of copious amounts of awesome. No amount of praise I babble can properly impress upon you how awesome their output is, so I recommend watching some of it yourself. Or all of it. I can wait. Feel free to come back and thank me when you're done.
BUT drawing fanart of them makes me feel kinda creepy, and here's why: I actually know one of 'em (hey Philbert!) and am acquainted via Twitter with another ('sup Lester!), meaning I drew fanart of people I kinda-sorta know. I feel like I should apologize. Uh, sorry for being the obligatory Creepy Fan, guys. I'll try to tone it down.
So anyway I drew this on index cards in mechanical pencil for reasons I cannot fathom (and nearly maimed myself in the process; the led snapped and hit me right in the eye!), using the profile pics from their website as references. I'm not used to drawing so small so fail obviously ensued, but this is pretty much the norm for me by this point I think.
Let's spread some awesome: HMC official website: [link] HMC YouTube channel: [link] HMC Twitter: [link]
I remember back when I changed the resolution of my monitor, I could suddenly draw on a canvas that was bigger than 400x400 without difficulty. |D THAT WAS EXCITING.
It's all nice and clean. : D
